Hydrogen Energy

Alkaline Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production System

The system adopts a modular design, with core components including the electrolyzer, gas–liquid processing system (integrated framework), water–alkali circulation unit (water pump/alkali tank), electrical control system (control cabinet/rectifier system), and safety components (such as flame arrestors). Its compact structure ensures easy installation and maintenance.

The working principle is based on immersed electrolysis technology: in the electrolyte, electrode pairs separated by an ion-exchange membrane decompose water molecules under direct current. The cathode generates high-purity hydrogen, while the anode produces oxygen. The electrochemical reactions are as follows:

  • Cathode: 2H₂O + 2e⁻→H₂↑+ 2OH⁻
  • Anode: 2OH⁻–2e⁻→H₂O +½O₂↑
  • Overall reaction: 2H₂O→2H₂↑+ O₂↑
